TBT: When I interviewed Andrea, designer and owner of Tutudumonde.com she gave me a great piece of advice to pass on!
Andrea’s Top Business Tip
“Be very clear in how you want your business/brand to look and stick to it. In order to be good at something I think you have to follow your passion but stay true to your vision, it’s easy to get distracted.”
I was thrilled with the transparency Andrea exhibited when I interviewed her on her design process and on her tips and experience producing overseas.

The Fall Issue of TFBM Magazine
has a theme of “A Beautiful Thread in the Fabric of my Life”. My grandmother passed away this spring and these were her last words to me. My grandmother was my mentor and the one who taught me to sew to I am honoring her with the Fall issue. Below are 3 ways you can get involved with this issue.
For one of the spreads I will be making a quilt using squares sent to me by many designers. I would love for YOU to send me a square to include. It would be a 12×12″ square representing your or your brand. The only requirement is you use non stretch fabrics but use any colors or embellishments you want. Let me know if you will be sending a square email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will reply with my address. The deadline is August 1 but the sooner the better so I can start assembling the quilt. I will personally be present for the center spread and cover shoot (cover look will be chosen from the center spread) for the Fall Issue and I am arranging the concept and styling. I am looking for 4-5 looks that make a statement and are a solid color. Black, red, blue, purple, orange, green, teal…I am flexible on color but the whole outfit has to be one color. I want a range of sizes-kids, tween, women. Would love a boys or men design! This will be a fashion studio shoot and you will get photos in exchange for the clothing you send. If you would like to create a look for this spread please let me know.
If you have an idea for a spread using the theme “a beautiful thread in the fabric of my life” and you want to shoot or style for the issue please let me know. email@example.com
I look forward to working with you!
